I wanted the chair for a guest bedroom with a seaside motif and minimal use so it was fine. If to be used outside, would not recommend as it is not sturdy and several of the slats were broken when they drilled the holes for the screws. Since I used it indoors and it will be sat in only occasionally if at all, it was not sent back.
