The Cottage Classic Folding Adirondack Chair combines comfort, convenience, and beauty all in one. This unique Adirondack chair is crafted from durable Southern Cypress, a wood naturally resistant to decay, splitting, and checking. It folds easily, allowing you to transport it or store it when not in use. This chair has comfortable contoured seating and wide armrests so you can truly relax and is available in your choice of acrylic color stains to suit your style. Each chair is sanded to create a weathered, antique look and is finished with Cuprinol, a water-based outdoor stain that has high-quality UV inhibitors for excellent color retention and fade resistance. This chair is an ideal choice for your home or when on the go. This product is shipped partially assembled; all necessary fasteners adn easy-to-follow instructions are included.

Please note: to quickly fold the chairs for storage or transport, the hinge bolt on each side of the chair must be removed.

Why does the Cottage Classic collection use an acrylic color stain instead of paint?
Plain and simple…because an acrylic color stain lasts longer. Paint does effectively seal the wood – temporarily. It's the unpainted areas you can't see that create the problems. Screw holes on the underside of every board, for instance, invite moisture to work its way under the painted surface. With no place for the water to go, the result is rotting wood under the surface. Painted Cypress products will begin to deteriorate within two years if left outside in the weather. A water-based or oil-based stain, on the other hand, allows the wood to breathe. Any moisture that gets in can still get out. After the color stain is applied to each Cottage Classic piece, it is lightly sanded to create a slightly weathered look.
