I assembled them in our living room and they have not left yet (2 weesk later) they are so comfortable I sit in them all evening. If I was really big they might not fit but I'm 150#/ 5'6"and I fit fine.I really like that they are Oak, not whimpy pine or cedar that won't hold a screw for long,it appears to be a chinese White oak not red oak(non durable). The grain is raised in a few places by the Linseed oil so maybe I will lightly sand If I re-oil. But all edges are soft and well rounded.Now, where can I find covers for the chairs so I can put them on the deck where they are really supposed to go? couldn't find covers on Hayneedle.Definatly one of my best web buys.

I just purchased two of these chairs and am left with rather mixed feelings.
First the good:
+ They told me that the Oak is "Chinese Oak" which is apparently very similar to White Oak. I believe it now that I have seen it. I expect that it will weather well just like white oak.
+ The pieces are all nicely cut and straight and the edges have been rounded.
+ Very comfortable to sit in
+ Very nice looking
+ Reasonable price
Now the negatives:
- The finish is very light. I put a couple of extra coats of outdoor oil on it.
-- Assembly was a nightmare! The pre-drilled holes did not line up properly on either of my 2 chairs. There is a bar that runs along the back of the chair that supports the back of the armrests. On both of my chairs the support bar/armrest/frame joint did not come together properly. This isn't a case of wood bending or shrinking, but rather someone incorrectly drilling the pre-drilled holes. Rather than try to re-drill the holes myself (which seemed risky), I got out my trusty chisel and took 1/8" off of both ends of the support bar. This added about 45 minutes to the construction of each chair. In the end they went together nicely, but why was it so painful?
Conclusion: This has the potential to be a wonderful value Adirondack chair, but until they get quality control issues regarding assembly under control I can't really recommend it.

We have purchased two other designs that did not hold up. I think we have finally found the right fit.
Easy to put together. Everything fits in the pre-holes. Hardware is included. Chairs are super comfortable.
Highly recommend the chairs.

We installed a new patio, garden wall and built in fire pit last summer and I have been in search for the perfect adirondack chairs for the fire put ever since. When I finally found these, I new I found the style at the right price. I've always been skeptical about ordering furniture on line. But I must say these adirondack chairs are awesome. First of all they arrived in 3 days from when ordered, they were extremely easy to assemble and the hardware was all high quality stainless steel. When assembled, I tried shaking the chair to see how well the fasteners pulled everything together and the chair was stronger than I would of expected. In fact there was no play at all in the joints. The overall scale and appearance looked even better than the on line pictures. They look awesome from every angle. I ordered 4 and I'm already contemplating 2 more.
