About Asian Fir
Asian fir has characteristics very similar to Cedar. Well known for its combination of stability and light weight, it is commonly used in furniture, both here and abroad. While being naturally weather-resistant, it may be further stained or finished to endure and age gracefully for many years. If left unfinished, the wood will fade to a silver gray when used outdoors. Like Cedar, the grain is usually straight and displays prominent growth rings and knots.

These were EASY to put together, [...] and were easy on the wallet. They are not very heavy so I'm not sure how durable they will be in the long run, but we're very happy with them.

    You get what you pay for

    I purchased 2 unstained chairs and side table via a special pricing offer. Assembly took a bit longer than I expected and the drawing wasn't as clear as it could be. In tightening the ...Read complete review

    I purchased 2 unstained chairs and side table via a special pricing offer. Assembly took a bit longer than I expected and the drawing wasn't as clear as it could be. In tightening the screws the wood began to split in a few places (I highly recommend you use a drill versus a screwdriver) and I had to purchase wood glue to put back together one of the side table legs. It came apart in my hands. Once assembled (after I stained them) they looked great. First time my husband (average height, average build) sat in one of them, though, one of the slats broke - in half. I've emailed customer service about this. After I glue the wood that has started to split and resolve the issue with the broken slat, I think they will serve their purpose, but I expect in a couple of years to be replacing them. But, I didn't pay a lot for them, so I shouldn't be(and am not) surprised at the "glitches" I'm experiencing. I'm not going to say I recommend or not recommend them because if you're willing to deal with the glitches, they're worth it. If you're not, they're not.
