For extreme cleaning needs, you can use a 1/3 bleach-and-water solution. POLYWOOD® material is made of HDPE plastic resin that has been purified and UV protected. It is generally cared for and cleaned with soap and warm water.
For certain stains and additional cleaning power, a 1/3 bleach and 2/3 water solution can be used on the product without affecting the color.
Also, a popular method of cleaning is a high-pressure power wash. (Not to exceed 1,500 psi, which is the equivalent of a car wash.) The surface characteristics of the product may require the use of a soft bristle brush to get into the creases.
The hardware used in the assembly and construction of our furniture is an 18-8 commercial-grade stainless steel that has an additional Xylan protective and cosmetic coating. Although the quality of the hardware has a high level of corrosive resistance, the hardware can show some sign of corrosion in salt air environments.
A practical solution to these signs of corrosion would be to wash the product with soap and water. Use a soft bristle brush to scrub the corroding areas of the hardware. Also, use appliance touch-up paint in the appropriate color to protect the hardware. Appliance touch up-paint can be purchased at local hardware stores.

This glider has been on our mountain home deck through all 4 seasons for 4 whole years. It is still in great shape! We love it and would recommended it to anyone. Even after being buried in snow many times, it looks and works as well as it did the day we received it.

This is a well made product. Relatively easy to assemble as I did it on my own. I have two Adirondack chairs made of this recycled plastic and they hold up nicely. I have gone through two swings in the last 4 yrs. that have rusted out in the Houston humidity, so I thought that this would be a good choice. Not cheap, but will last and need minimal maintaince vs. wood or metal! You will need chair pads, as not super comfortable and not real deep, but attractive and well made

The directions were not totally clear about which way each part turns when it is to be assembled. And, instructions don't suggest that it will take two people to put it together. One person doing it is difficult in holding larger parts in place. It fits together nicely. I just felt the directions were a little sparse.

I love the higher back. I'm able to relax my head back and enjoy the evening after a long day. I gave it 4 stars because it was a bit hard for me to assemble by myself...I'm a small woman...an extra pair of hands would have made it much easier.
