The top of the Governess Storage Bench has a padded cushion that is available in a variety of colors. The cushion covering is made of a heavy, weather-resistant vinyl called Tonneau Tex, which is similar to the material that's used for the bed covers of pickup trucks, yet more flexible. Simple assembly is required.

design is attractive,but the wood edges were very rough and splintered. many gouges in wood surfaces. overall look is good, green vinyl cushion is attractive. storage area is much smaller than i expected. i should have measured out the area when purchasing it. i am using it to store cushions from my patio set and they all do not fit.
